ENCARTA GAME 2007 MINDMAZE PLAY ONLINE WINDOWS 7
And yet, I've still my discs of other games such as Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego? (which I LOVED even though I never finished it!) around, even that doesn't work anymore either.Īctually, you know what I just realised? I thought that my Adventure Game kick began with KQ, but actually it started with the Carmen Sandiego games! They were point-and-click Adventure Games with puzzles and The graphics? Rather cartoony IIRC. Windows Encarta 1994 edition will not be implemented on my windows 7 PC. When I move on to the next question the available answers stay the same as for the first question. Problem is this game is unplayable for me after the first question has been asked. The game of mindmaze is a hidden feature playable by pressing ctrl+z. Then I lost it again (probably in our move to Texas) and never found it. Encarta Mindmaze Hi all, I have a working version of this (2009) running on windows 8.

I can remember that I found the disc a few years later (when I was around.9? 10?) when we'd gotten my Windows XP computer (which served me quite well for a great number of years!) and I attempted to install it and play it again.

And, even now, I still don't know how to play Chess (nor Poker for that matter), and unless I'm playing an Adventure Game like GK3 or PQ1, I don't frankly care to learn 1. I think it WAS made for little kids, but again, I'm not so sure.
I want to find this game again, as I want to see how it ends and relive my Nope. I don't believe there was much-if any- dialogue other than instructions. The Jester was obviously the villain, and what creeped me out back then (although I think it's cool now!) is that every time he would appear in a room, his happy-go-lucky theme music would play and he'd dance around and generally annoy/creep out the Knight before leaving for another room.
oh boy, a Chess puzzle! Yeah, that's a GREAT puzzle to put in a game I was playing when I was 5-6 years old who it usually took months to complete ANY game at all! The only ones that I remember, are the Kitchen, which I think had like a matching puzzle or hidden object puzzle? and the Garden, which had. There were a bunch of rooms in the castle, each leading to a different area with a different minigame puzzle. I think you had to rescue a Princess (which makes sense given the Knight's occupation, and it was the Jester who had her. It starred a Knight in Shining Armor (no, not my usernamesake), whose name I have forgotten sadly. It had pretty good graphics for its time (very 90s cartoony).
It was for Windows (98, I think?), not DOS (I didn't even really know what DOS was up until I discovered Sierra two years ago!). When answering a question, an article link is next to each potential answer, letting the player research the answer.I've been trying to figure out for the past few years what a certain game is called that I used to play as a little girl on the computer. Five torches are included, which will reveal the path to the next floor for a short time if used. Higher difficulty questions give more points when solved. There is a character in each room who will talk to you, and there are paintings on the walls that lead to Encarta articles.įour difficulty levels of questions are included, and nine different selectable trivia categories are included, along with an "all of the above" option. Answering a question wrong twice in a row will cause the question to reset, though no points are lost. Once the points reach a certain level, the next floor reached will be the king's throne room, breaking the curse, and winning the game. Points are added to the player's score with each correctly answered question. Dead-ends are common, though retracing steps does not require answering more questions. While the exit is marked, the road leading to the exit has many twists and turns. To unlock a door between rooms, the player must correctly answer a multiple-choice, timed trivia question. The castle consists of several floors, each floor holding 100 rooms in a 10x10 grid. In MindMaze, while reading Encarta, the player is transported back in time to break the curse on King Miser the First's castle. (Earlier versions have a direct link in the main menu, later versions hide it behind the Ctrl-Z shortcut.) Included, from Encarta 94 to Encarta 2007, with minor user-interface variations between versions, is the educational game MindMaze. Not an American user?
